Square Butte, Montana


Horses parade in front of Square Butte, a timeless landmark wich doubtlessly guided travelers such as Lewis and Clark across the Montana prairies. It was depicted bu the famous western artist Charles M. Russell in many of his paintings. Today this unique landform is the standard reference point for aviators on approach to Great Falls International Airport.
